In a volatile city like Sydney, where Monday to Fridays keep you from sitting, social encounters are suicide and food prices are shooting up the roof - I can stop being cynical when it comes to my girlfriends - or can i be corny & announce the term 'soul mates?'
It's true - I have amazing best friends, "bffl-s" or "gal group" - well whatever laughable way it's put, I realise our friendship is a way of keeping sane from the rest of the world. It's like therapy - but free, fun & you can eat! So this photograph below is probably the only decent picture you will find of them - and as i stare at it, i begin to think of that cute adorable facade Sarah has on and if it will change into a smirk or a flared nose, fat booth dispose she usually likes to capture according to my iPhone camera roll. Oh and then there's Chrissy with that side smile - you're probably thinking ''how sweet and pleasant''......and she's probably thinking ''let's just get the fuck on with our dinner?" That's the thing about friends, they are like chocolate - you love & enjoy them in any kind of way. And there's no invisible electric fence barrier that keeps you from being who you really are with them, and what their inside devil is like with you. So cheers to weekly slouching arounds, late night gossiping and lots n' lots of asian food. With love, Parisa Leather shorts - Lee / Owl printed top - Target / Model - Margaret Deng / Photos - Parisa Shooting with the lovely Ms Margaret Deng didn't feel like work at all - she was so patient, pleasant & playful on the shoot - hours flew by just like that. Not to mention our frothy post shoot lunch at a Cuban cafe, where she ate a plateful & i on the other hand sat with an x-large vegetable juice - how bloody ironic eh?
I am so glad to be back in my lively hometown - and you have no idea how much! So these late afternoon tom yum breathers have been a practice in my relationship with this city for a long time now. So obviously my first outing back with a favourite person had to involve this. It was the first time we tried Satang Thai - cute, squishy Thai kitchen boxed in glass - but the authenticity, fresh/cheap-ness of the hut had made it worth skip Chinatown. Maybe not the best place to unwind when starving Aussies with patriotism written all over decide to show (Ha, its Australia Day - and we're probably the only ones not wearing green & gold), but theres always the cinemas for that. And so we did. We kicked back at an evening show with Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Therapy (Its exactly what it seems!), and spent the following strolling around the balmy, lit city with a late night dinner on the go. So there you have it, my favourite kind of Saturday night - cozy, simple & completely de-stressed.
