As much as this occasion will prevail, win me over and force me to shamelessly scribble a list of resolutions such as save money, lose weight and finish a novel - my relationship with years of failure will somehow sneak in. They say ignorance is bliss, and I now believe expectancy is letdown. So let me take this New Year celebration as an opportune time to start being a little more blithe, and disentangle the minute things that worry me. * Now that that’s said, my New Years Eve was quite frothy and merry. | I spent a spontaneous beginning brunching away in pyjama bottoms with friends from the building, and then had to eeny meeny miny my way out of 3 different sorts of Swiss cake in the evening. Balloons and sunset went pretty well together for my post napping activity. ** And thereafter, so casually and frivolously did our last night of 2012 come. The neighbors and I spent midnight gathering together on the rooftop, eating drinking and exchanging our experiences and highlights. With fireworks going off from the next terrace, our bums weren’t ready to move for a very long time. *** | So those were my NYE highlights (simplicity at its best), wishing the universe a late New Years wish from Dhaka city – eat cake, dance and have a thrilling year! With love, Parisa. * Did I again just create another resolution? What a sly act of cognition. ** Unfortunately I got to capture only one shot of my day, that too during a trip to fresh air. *** Until 4 am we spoke in our tipsy selves, blatantly about ‘life’. Despite the matter being completely laughable as of now, I still had a very buoyant and gleeful night! |

1st shot - most open minded girl i've met, Eden. 2nd shot - taken d Light is something I'm so intrigued by, the luminous nature of it and the diverse forms it takes. How Alicia Keys mentions the word in her Empire State of Mind and we all seem to grasp onto a line of inspiration, mood and hope. Just like music lifts your spirit, light does it for me. We seem to appreciate darkness and the tone it brings more when there’s at least a tiny radiance of light involved. Just how when you’re tucked in and watching the city from your hotel room, the twinkling bokeh of your landscape looks like burlesque shimmer powder. Yeah, I love that. And that’s when aspiration begins.
With love & hope, Parisa. Photos taken on the iPhone 4 Take a glimpse of my hometown, Sydney. It’s enchanting, heavenly and sometimes exhilarating. I’m besotted by this city whether it’s winter or summer. You may find this as an overstatement, but when you’ve just stepped into the thrilling life of adolescence like me, it is somewhat perfect. I may be a little over the top since I’m away from home, so excuse me for the hype (even though it is a blast) but Sydney is where I desperately want to be. I’m so utterly looking forward to be grabbing a pistachio gelato and taking 11:00pm walks by Circular Quay, then awaiting warm sand in my feet the next day. Just a few more days ;)
With love & happiness, Parisa.
